5 Things that could be RUINING your retention!
Not fully drying the lashes after cleansing pre application
Wet lashes will cause the glue to not bond to the lash correctly & can also cause shock polymerisation leading to thick white dots where the adhesive sits
2. Not having a PH balancer for clients with low porosity lashes
Clients with low porosity lashes will often have poor retention without the use of a pH balancer. Most clients only require a cleanse prior to application to achieve good retention however clients with low porosity lashes may also require the use of a pH balancer to help open the pores on their lashes. You can often determine when a client has low porosity lashes if the glue won’t bond during application no matter what you’ve tried & seeing the temp/ humidity is sitting at the correct levels. 3. Using a glue that dries too fast for you
Never rush your application simply choose an adhesive that best suites your working speed!
4. Not using enough glue
There is a happy medium between too much glue & too little glue that you should try your best to achieve. If you are using pre-made fans & are noticing the fans are falling apart after application it may be a sign that you have used too little glue
5. Not having your room at the correct settings for your glue
Each glue has a different humidity/ temperature requirement - to ensure you achieve the best retention make sure you check your adhesives requirements and regulate your room within that!
